Phillies is a female riding group that is based in Santa Ynez Valley in Southern California - a land of rolling hills, burnt grass, vineyards and tall oak tress, that hides a bastion of cowboy culture that’s very much alive and traditional, but modern nonetheless. I was inspired to document Fillies to celebrate a tougher, wilder side of womanhood.
